It’s the 125th anniversary of the sentencing of Robert LeRoy Parker, “Butch Cassidy.” Butch was incarcerated in the Wyoming Territorial Prison in 1884 for a two-year sentence and was granted a pardon by Gov. Richards after 18 months by most accounts of being a model prisoner.

Plan on staying later in the day, when we start our special Butch Cassidy Day events and activities which includes Gun Fighters at 3:30 p.m. and Cassidy Re-enactment at 4 p.m. There will be a Winchester Rifle Exhibit and a special appearance by Robert Fuller, star of TV western series “Laramie.” A special showing of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” film will be showing from 5 – 7 p.m. Food vendors will be available.
